It all started last Friday with a reception in the gardens of El Cid Marina Beach where Lic. Fernando Berdegué and Harbor Master Gerónimo Cevallos welcomed anglers who were registering for the tournament the next day. On Saturday morning, at 6:00 am, 40 fishing teams headed out to the depths of the Pacific watching an incredible sunrise with the hope of catching the biggest Dorado. Eyes were on the prize of winning a brand new Ford Ranger XLT Pick-Up Truck.
With most boats returning with their catch from 2:00 pm on after a competitive race on chopping seas, the Aries Fleet staff was prepared to measure and weigh-in the catches. Families and friends cheered each other on as each team’s largest dorado was weighed. It was a well attended and smoothly run event!
